FinCleanse is a local-first application. All processing of your bank statements (PDFs) occurs locally on your device using on-device technology. Your financial data, transaction history, and cleansing records are stored in a local database on your smartphone and are never uploaded to the cloud by us.

2. Permissions We Request

• Storage/File Access: We request access to your device's storage solely to allow you to select and upload PDF bank statements for analysis. We only access the specific files you select.

3. Third-Party Services

The app may use third-party libraries for core functionality (e.g., text extraction). These services are configured to process data locally where possible. We do not use third-party analytics tools that track your financial behavior.

4. Data Security

Since your data resides on your device, its security depends on your device's security settings. We recommend keeping your device password-protected and your operating system updated.
